Navigating the Journey

Knowledge is Power

Research shows that when someone receives a diagnosis of a terminal or life-limiting illness, both they and their caregivers need clear information about what lies ahead. Whether a patient has a prognosis of months or years, the uncertainty can bring waves of anxiety and fear. But knowledge is power—it allows them and their caregiver to make choices that honour their values and priorities, helping you navigate this journey on their terms, maximizing quality of life and reducing stress and anxiety.
Our program offers weekly ZOOM sessions given by a palliative physician and invited guests, on a variety of topics ranging from Advanced Care Planning, accessing community resources, symptom control, estate and funeral planning, and more. Participants are welcome to the question-and-answer session afterwards.
